ExpiWell is thrilled to announce the Dissertation Award for the fourth consecutive year. This award supports and recognizes outstanding doctoral students who employ the Experience Sampling Method (ESM) or Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA) in their research endeavors.

This year, we are offering up to two awards, each valued at $1,000, to doctoral candidates pushing the boundaries of their respective fields through ESM or EMA methodologies. In addition to the financial incentive, ExpiWell takes pride in amplifying the work of our awardees.

Highlighting Past Winners

We invite you to explore the achievements of our past winners, including Dr. Jessie Sun and Dr. O. Dorian Boncoeur in 2021, as well as Bridgette Do and Katie Kemp in 2022, and Mahira Ganster and Tabea Sprinstein in 2023, whose contributions have been featured on our blog and through engaging video presentations.

The scope of ESM and EMA research spans a wide array of disciplines. As such, we welcome applications from doctoral students across various fields, such as Psychology, Sociology, Health Sciences, Organizational Behavior, Medicine, Computer Science, Engineering, and more.

Successful dissertations will be selected based on the significance of their research topic, the novelty of their approach, and the rigor of their methodology. Consideration will also be given to the applicant's research experience and an accompanying letter of support from their advisor.

We are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community. We strongly encourage applications from all individuals, including those from minority groups, women, persons with disabilities, and veterans.
